>>48747107Its a cool concept and some parts of the execution are nice, mainly how tied its existence is to Gladion(Silvally's entries refer specifically to him) so during the SM storyline you sort of see History being made, and the design nails the "mish-mash of different types". It also sort of "redeems" stuff like Mewtwo or Genesect wiht it having a "good" ending with the mon being happy with its trainer.
I do not like, however, how little the other part of the premise pays off with it not doing shit against UBs in the plotline(and not even attempting to and failing to let the MC take the spotlight).
Then there are the few implications it has to the lore, which aren't neither good or bad things(though it doesn't seem GF thought much about these either).
First, that its called Null but its Normal type, despite even normal game mechanics do allow for a mon to have no type(Burn Up) which is mechanically different to Normal type(regardless of whether you consider Normal to be a type or the lack of).
Then its backstory implies types are specifically asociated with genetics, which is interesting to know.
Finally, its weird that, as a mon that comes into existence during the SM storyline, it has an index number lower than many other mons in both Gen 7 and Gen 8 which predate it which calls into question how the fuck the numbering works in-universe(which obviously doesn't have a proper answer but its fun to think about).
