Keeping everything consistent is literally what TPC exists for. They even have a style guide that they give to third parties that tells them to play the games and watch the anime to ensure that their products are consistent with the first-party stuff (the games and anime).

The GameFreak games are wholly irrelevant to the grand scheme of Pokemon.
These scenarios exist solely to sell toys to children, and perhaps spur Niantic on to debut these mechanics into GO, the only game that matters to TPC because it prints over a billion in profits annually, more than all other Pokemon games have made in their entire lifetimes combined.

Also worth mentioning that Z-move and Megas are featurely prominently in the Pokemon Mezastar arcade game, which the anime is going to be more interested in shilling to kids than a Switch game they can't afford anyway and which is going to be a one time purchase by their parents.

Actually in a interview they noted raids as a concept was first created as a feature for Sword and Shield and then while working with Niantic on Go, Masuda pitched the idea to Hanke who then put it in Go
