>>48748546They haven't even come out yet, but they seem to be very alike to the originals in a lot of ways, but those games hold up just fine, so unless the idea is to more conveniently rebuild your collection in Pokemon Home, I don't really see the point in buying these if you still have a DS and a copy of Platinum, both in good and working order.
I started replaying Platinum earlier this year and honestly, it holds up really well, so I can't really justify this purchase, especially since I don't like the way the overworld looks or some of the in-game models. I was going to get it for Manaphy, but I acquired one on DS recently, so that's a moot point now too. It's a shame because some of the rematch teams look awesome and I want to fight them, but not to the point where I'd like to buy an entirely new game.
