would you play a romhack with this more detailed gen 2 palette and spritework but used to flesh out gen 6? asking for a friend (me)

qol updates oriented around level scaling, fleshing out the towns and cities, add my take on the rumored dlc area that the train leads to; i have to replay the games and take more detailed notes on what to fix though

i haven't worked with sprites before this so i have a lot to learn if i'm going to make a legitimate game + i'm a practicing digital artist by trade so rn it's just smth i'm throwing out there in case it's a passion project that would be well received

i'd have to consult people on which software would be best to make it in, idk the technical limitations of romhacking tools, unless by platform you mean like; emulator? probably a gba one

To fully script the QoL stuff you might need a completely cracked up engine, like FireRed or essentials. If you want to aim for the novelty + using simple 3D model edits to add soul to your vision, aim for a DS ROM hack. Essentials is wacky. GBA gets stale quick. You can do a lot of camera work in DS now.

It will be a very complex regardless. Have fun.
