>>48753712>can't battle wild pokemonYou throw Poké Balls like it's a Wii shovelware game. Aside from some legendaries most of the wild pokémon are just the equivalent of selecting a poke ball in other games. And you have to do this to get EXP as well. Pathetic
>OW encounters are the single biggest gameplay improvement they've made to this entire series since fucking gen 1Most hyperbolic statement I've ever seen. Overworld encounters are cool but all it is a mostly cool aesthetic and the ability to avoid more wild battles. It doesn't change the formula more than that.
>and then there's no reason to ever touch it againAnd the same with Master Trainers??? LGPE doesn't get a point for this when it's barely anything
>Abilities and held items barely add anything to the game.Abilities give cool secondary effects and make Pokémon feel more unique since everyone has one. Held items can be used for a lot of varied other additional affects that isn't tied to Pokémon. These are both important staples to the series' battles that were kept out of the game for some reason, even though double battles got to get in.
Let's Go is literally just an attempt to get a combination of people who only played Pokemon Go, hence the Go in the title and the forced Go capture mechanics) and genwunners, hence Kanto being remade for the second time, simplified mechanics to be more reminiscent of Gen 1 and the removal of Pokemon from Gen 2 to 7, aside from Meltan and Melmetal. Not even cross-generational evo/pre-evos got to make an appearance, but apparently mega evolutions and regional variants are fine. What a mess of a game
