Once those EVs are spent there's only so many left, so even though he's a mixed attacker statwise, you're gonna be forced to pick one or the other in most cases, making all of those 100-110 BST points in the other stat useless. Imagine if his attack stat was 70 instead of 110. Take those 40 points and give him 95 HP and 105 speed. Now he's a monster!
The other issue is he doesn't learn any priority moves, which sucks. If he learned Vacuum Wave he would again be a fucking monster. So with an average speed stat combined with no priority and average HP stat he's pretty easy to just overpower. Dynamax formats are pretty bad for him too because everyone loves max airstream and max hailstorm (break sash), among others.
Looking at a good mixed attacker, like Zoroark for instance, we see a low HP stat and low defenses, but he's fast enough to outspeed things. And when someone DOES send out a Crobat or Aerodactyl or something that's faster than him, he can still throw out a Sucker Punch before getting taken out.
If you really want to use Kommo-o I think you'll find a lot more success on a team with speed control, Sticky Webs are your best bet. Electroweb and tailwind work too but are a little harder to work with in singles. I don't think he's good in doubles.
