I am concerned about how much development time ILCA had, considering how the base game (before the day 1 patch) didn't even have a title screen, and the finished music, as well as some of the game's postgame.

Do you guys think all of this is because the game was rushed and didn't have enough dev time?

Or, do you think they had an actual good reason to keep some of the final game's content outside of the base cartridge? Maybe they just wanted to keep some features secret until release?

I am not too experienced with understanding game development time, so I would like to hear your opinions.

Yet they still felt very rushed. If only they focused on adding more stuff that people actually wanted like a Battle Frontier and gym leader rematches instead of adding a shitton of unnecessary mega gimmickshit forms...

well, for instance the game without the patch is an incomplete mess, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they had plans for other things that never made it into the final product.

That's possible, but it's just speculation.

Also, nothing is stopping them from releasing extra content in the future, via updates, if there is really something that they wanted to include, but didn't have time to.
