TONS of QoL things everywhere, almost the entire dex is catchable, every region up to Gen 7, you can pick which set of starters you want from all of them, it feels like the upgraded experience I wish GF would actually do and never would.
Being able to actually reasonably use all the competitive held items during the campaign is great, too, they can be bought at the Poke Mart.
Also, being able to heal the entire party while travelling is the best QoL change and allows more fights to actually be hard without it also being obnoxious getting around from place to place. You only get to do it once
twice after an event between Pokemon Center visits, which is fair enough and makes it an actual decision whether to go back and heal or press on or use the healing vial.
Has a few bugs, largely because it's still in active development.
A least one trainer repeatedly used an attack that wasn't implemented yet lol, made that fight way easier.
Also, this one is a bit worse -- column 4, row 2 (with row 1 column 1 being the to left slot) in Box 3 is known to be guaranteed to corrupt a Pokemon into a bad egg. Didn't know that going in, and I was glad it was just some random shitmon I caught that it happened to. The download page recommends that you deliberately put a shitmon there so that it doesn't happen to an actually important Pokemon.
It's also missing a few things -- the Battle Frontier isn't finished so you can't go there, a bunch of legendaries aren't available anywhere yet, and although all the Gen 8 Pokemon have data in game, they aren't available in game.
Otherwise, it's been a smooth experience with a decent enough challenge to be fun.
