>>48768025Oh, that one guy was a fucking retard then, good to know.
>>48768035I've vaguely heard of that, but if that were the case why isn't SM/USUM popular for the same reason? Granted, it's not as apparent because I think only Hitomi Sato's work stands out there compared to almost everyone being on point in Gen 5 (even that one guy whose name I don't fucking remember who sucks shit on every other track he's done and butchered Let's Go's OST managed to make Route 10). As for Twitter and Reddit, I wonder how much of that is people who played it as children. BW's divisiveness comes from having any context at all of Pokemon at that point in history. It's like if in 10 years time there's a bunch of people saying Sword and Shield was pretty good because they remember playing the DLC and don't know every other Pokemon that released before because it was the first Pokemon game they got.
>>48768062I am insufferable, and I'm not saying Gen 4 is like 6 at all. Sinnoh sucks, HGSS would be better if it wasn't on the Gen 4 engine but is a great game, XY is boring and I have some sort of dementia related to it so I forget most of it, and ORAS is only good for what it did with improving RSE's concepts with online and ruined almost everything else about Hoenn which is awful because it has some of the best map design in the franchise and is also a pretty good game for most of the experience. I get that Gen 5 is a divisive title, and maybe it doesn't do it for you, but guess what before ORAS people made fun of Hoennfags. In the fullness of time though, I think we can agree that for all the problems RSE had, it's still better than whatever the fuck ORAS did to Hoenn.
>>48768075Find me somebody who genuinely likes XY and not the online. Hell, I just said earlier in this post that's what ORAS excels at. I'm sure you can find somebody who genuinely doesn't like Gen 5 fairly easy. What's a bit harder is somebody who doesn't use the shitty discord talking points, but it's possible.
