It has lower resolution natively, lower polygonal count, less particle effects and so on.

You could say that a game like Ni No Kuni from the PS3 is objectively better in terms of graphics than Pokemon SW/SH and BD/SP.

Or Monster Hunter Stories:2.

Still, graphics are not what Pokemon is about.
