Game Freak's development times aren't an excuse. Especially not since they've deliberately set it up that the most cumbersome asset for the games, the Pokemon, are in a state where they'll be reusing them for the foreseeable future. I unironically support the idea of GF reusing those assets, but we get both reused assets and lazy-ass development. Worst of both worlds.
