Pretty weird how Croagunk and Toxicroak are Fighting types, considering how their dex entries definitely suggest that they'd be Dark types.

They're martial artist frogs, just because they fight dirty doesn't automatically mean they have to be Dark. This is especially true since their behavior is explicitly stated to be for survival purposes rather than malicious ones, which does a lot to explain why it's not the literal "Evil" typing.

dark would clearly be a third type but they just cant fit it. Fighting is really integral to the design, moreso than dark. Croagunk has like fighting gloves on

Toxicroak is a dirty/dark fighter, but it's still a fighter above all else. Dark would work as a complementary third type, but can't it supersede fighting.
