So, I was thinking about buying this game after seeing an ad. Initial reaction was to turn to Google, but then I remembered that only /vp/ really knows what's up.

I turn to you, /vp/, to make up my mind for me: should I buy this game and why?

Since this game is such a lazy piece of work (considering the potential pokemon has and all of the money they have)

And if you give them money, then Pokémon Company thinks that these games are good and they should keep making mediocre games because either way it is still selling ¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯

So, play it on emulator or play it on a friends cartdridge or buy it from another dude. But don't give your money to lazy developers that doesnt use properly all of their budget

Being perfectly capable of making the Best remakes with beatiful landscapes but they just conform with "faithful remakes"... fuck off

Don't buy it. The EXP Share is forced, affection bonuses trivialize the game, the art style sucks ass, the music is a complete downgrade, the dex is still cut, it doesn't have Platinum mons or improvements or post-game, distortion world is a single room, more handholding has been added, worst implementation of following Pokemon in series history, HMs relegated to the Poketch that's an on-screen pop-up now, underground and bases butchered in favor of pseudo-wildarea 800 square foot rooms, the poke-radar breaks by itself half the time, ect. ect.
Do not financially encourage them. If you need to play the game for whatever reason pirate it and mod out the EXP Share and affection bonuses at least.

Just play Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. I was super excited for the remakes until it was discovered they only have up to Gen IV Pokémon. It made sense for Let's Go because it was a new style of game, and made sense for Rescue Team DX because it was the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game in like half a decade and first on Switch, but BeadyAspie has no excuse when SwSh was already on Switch. Put the $60 toward a better game.
