We don’t know what that line does in the wild. It might be very unpleasant. Keep in mind that they seem to like the idea of guarding over people. What would your upbringing be like if your one goal in life was to become a bodyguard for some member of a foreign species?
Also notice that gardevoir and gallade are depicted as having some level of knowledge of human etiquette. They know how to bow and curtsy. Childhood as a member of the ralts line probably consist of a combination of combat training and etiquette lessons before being sent off to get caught. It doesn’t seem like it would be a good time.

I don't want that. I hate humaniggers. Even as a kid I just pretended humans didn't exist at all in the Pokémon world. Every playthrough wasn't the story of a kid on his journey to become a master, it was the journey of 6 mons who wanted to be the best team of fighters while also defeating the evil mons. I fucking hate humans and I don't care if being a trainer is the core part of the series. I want nothing to do with em.

Gardevoir pokedex says it will give its life for its trainer, and you can catch them as gardevoir in Sword and Shield.
Gallade pokedex says it uses its elbow blades “when protecting someone”, and it “seeks out those in need”, not even specifically its trainer.

This is my headcanon with every game I play. I pick a mon to stand in for myself and the rest follow me to victory to defeat the "evil" gym leaders and elite 4 :D

the gym leaders and e4 aren't evil. it's still seen as a friendly competition with them. I meant the evil teams are the bad guys. that's just how I see it. glad I'm not alone though.
