Sorry if I sound retarded, is there a way to check if your teammates have unite moves ready? I keep using my Unite at the wrong time on Zap. I use it when there's a cluster of enemies who are in mid health, but that's when they use THEIR unite with 2 of them usually do it synchronized. Then my team dies to it, and I don't know if they had a unite charged or not. I figure the best time to use my unite at zap during a teamfight is when my other teammates use it, too, but I can never tell when they're going to.

he could've easily helped with those teamfights and gotten the EXP from them instead of using his teammates as bait. these are all winnable fights, none of this was overextending. the first scenario, our mons were at a better level since we knocked out them earlier. the second scenario, the slyveon had to deal with me, zera, and rotom. the third, we were at our goal with shields and health and could've easily wiped their team.

none of these were situations where he had to farm and run away.

judging by both the damage report ON BOTH sides, the fact that you over leveled to your opponent and the fact that zera won MVP

I'm guesisng Zera actually was there for the important stuff (dred), actually scored (which is what this game is about), and didn't spend most of the time team fighting

he definitely wasn't there for drednaw because both times we got exp boost, we were both at top lanes and the shield is what helped us in the rotom fights twice. he was there for both rotom fights. i don't remember who landed the killing blow on zap because we wiped the enemy at mid and it was a clusterfuck fight. unfortunately, i can't look at that info post-game, i don't think.

Potion only really has one purpose, and that's to bait out people longer than they should because they commit to a fight that they thought wouldn't last as long.
In that sense you need something that's either going to fight to the death and wants to stay out longer like Wiggly or a Greedent/Crustle that's running around the map baiting people into chasing them. Even then though there can be better alternatives like X-Speed for Wiggles and Fluffy Tail for the latter two, but it's up to you to experiment and find what works best for you.
Now a frail ass mon that dies in two hits and has no mobility options to bait with like Decidueye? Yeah, no. Never take Potion on the owl.

If you guys see a palyer called JPCrack, don't even bother trying to win. Nice. I bitched out and am about 9 wins away from Masters with Greninja and Venusaur. I tried to go with Pikachu, Blissey, and Crustle, but it just became a chore to play those vs. all the Talonflames and Greninjas.

Best way to handle it would be a skin/holowear and the funniest part about it is they could charge $40 for it and it very likely would be their highest selling one and they’d make bank on it. i was playing meta mons like Lucario and Gren starting this season, because the constant bitching at Gardevoir made me a little insecure of picking her.

Full HP 1v1, you're not going to win. You won't lose, but you won't catch up with him, either. You need a partner to take him down or he'll just run away. The only real choice you have for stopping him from getting easy small caps is a mon with a physical push attack, such as Squirtle/Blastoise. Wigglytuff can also help.

Whoever that Lucario lane partner was of mine who repeatedly fed into the enemy at the start of the game just to try and cap 15 points, and then fed into the enemy so much I had to stall the enemy and save him which just caused us to lose out out the bees because we were too low, and then refused to join the entire server down below in the Drednaw fight while he pitifully capped 10 points at a time at the top lane alone (Not even going for Rotom) and then proceeded to steal our jungle's mobs because he was so underleveled...

you're not really supposed to use Rotom on the first goal, breaking first and then going for Rotom is the far better play

Decidueye is good though don't get me wrong, but not only do you need to know how to play him and position yourself/ level up yourself fast, but you also need a good team to play around YOU, which sadly is impossible for the solo q Chad like myself and a few others.
Do not regret spending the coins tho since I have a feeling he might get buff since it looks like fewer people bought him (cant blame them after what happened with sylveon kek) and people are complaining that he's weak.

Havent bought it, but I am guessing the Owl is played like a Psi/Psy Garde, which means youll lose 1v1 until you hit your last power power cap (lvl 14 for Garde), at that point you turn the tables on them.

So you gotta play positioning most of the time, which not only means no engaging in 1v1, but have a teammate between you and the enemy as well.

Not really. Garde's moonblast can at least wall people out in 1v1s. Owl doesn't have that option since leaf storm is kinda shit so he's just dead if someone gets close to him. He's also functional at level 7 as compared to Garde's level 10.

Owl only has one stun (which is hot trash and basically a never ever move), terrible sustain (has lifesteal but requires multiple targets and razor leaf specifically to make a difference) and no burst
so no it never really wins the 1v1 unless it's a shackle owl and is just playing the range game, but your opponent should be smart enough to back off when they're threatened by that

that's why I mentioned specifically Psi/Psy Garde, which is awful at 1v1, but i found myself using it much more since it shreds in team fights.
Shane the owl doesn't have at least good burst options, specially with how squishy it is.

I actually prefer to button lane with Garde.
You can hit lvl 6 at the 7:00-7:30 mt mark (faster if you have shitty opponents)
and Psy works wonderful for stealing Dread if by any chance they push your team back.
Gardevoir (lvl9 or less) is like a turret, works great defending goals and keeping people away, but she is way to slow to work as a good speedster.

people shit on garde a lot, but as soon as you hit lvl 6 you can start having a very serious impact on team fights.

I think one of the reason why talon is so fucking cracked in soloq is because people pick retarded team comps. I constantly get enemy teams with like 3 squishy junglers. There's only so much exp to go around so either 2 of them remain underlevelled or 3 of them just remain average levelled. This just means talon could dive their backline for free and one shot everything.

After getting to play with the owl for a few days, I don't really see how people think they suck so much. As long as you're being mindful and playing as far back as you can, you're fairly safe from a lot of things. Plus shadow sneak is great for making the flaming bird mad when he dives.

Can Greedent do actual defender jobs like peeling? They don't really even protect their teammate in lane, usually just abandoning them to go deep and dunk repeatedly.
I don't feel like they ever defend me at all if I'm decidueye or cinderace etc.

Just had a zeraora start intentionally griefing from minute 1, running straight into the enemy and standing still until he died. Pinging also so he wasn't disconnected, and it happened for all 10 minutes of the match.

Crustle can't do it to the degree that greedent can and he's also not a true defender. Even with the nerfs greedent can just remain on the enemies' side of the map and never base. But in teamfights he only has the tiny covet CC and maybe the threat of his ult to peel for the carry.

Pretty much every significant change or addition to the game has made Cram's life a living hell. Possibly the only thing that doesn't is Mamoswine but even then you have Swinub causing big problems for Cram in lane if it gets caught by Ice Shard.
