I like Pokemon, but I don't own a Nintendo console anymore nor am I too interested in the more recent games. I wanna get into other fun alternative monster taming games. What have you guys been playing?

I've been really into monster sanctuary because the combat is really good and It really matters to me that the monsters have actual lore to them, otherwise I just see them as sprites on a screen and I can't give a fuck about them. I do wish there were more monsters though and that more evolved.
