>Legendaries took a small step back from the overdesigned garbage of gen 5 box legendariesthere were too few legendaries and their designs were incredibly underwhelming. no one could visually tell you that xerneas was legendary unless they knew. thy screwed up the connection in the dex between diancie and carbink. volcanion's design is just outright shit and one of the most overdesigned. everyone hates hoopa for being used as an excuse for lazy legendary encounters in oras. zygarde didn't even have it's forms in the game, was incredibly lackluster in lore despite the protector label, is in an empty cave without context, got cucked of it's own game(s), and has a very bad design by pokemon standards. Only Yveltal is actually universally loved. This generation appealed to lower levels of brain power with "oMg they look like letters". The box legends weren't even balanced with their typing, with zero dichotomy and everyone agreeing yveltal looks stronger. xerneas don't even make story sense.
