Not a Johtofag, but you know, it kinda makes sense now that the only arguments people can come up with against HGSS is all superficial shit like muh level curve, muh lack of identity and muh houndour in kanto. It's all deflection from their personal favourite games having substantial flaws that ACTUALLY bring down the quality and enjoyment of the games, and an attempt at trying to slander a game that otherwise has no major flaws whatsoever.
The fact that people can only throw baseless criticisms against HGSS just proves that these are indeed the best games in the series.
