Do glitches in pokemon freak anyone else out?

In particular, the bad egg one really freaks me out. Just the nature of it. A glitch or getting a bad wonder trade in some games could result in getting it and it duplicating and overwriting your pokemon. Just freaks me out. It's a fear from childhood that stuck around

I learned about bad eggs when playing frlg. i was convinced leaving them in the pc would turn them bad and since I had so many I just restarted my game

There's definitely something unique about the glitches in Pokemon that makes them a little spooky. This is especially true in Gen 1, which I think is because the games will just keep on chuggin' where most games would've just crashed. Instead, they'll just spit out a surprisingly functional Pokemon that produces some odd effects in the game world, making them seem more like weird monstrosities than glitches.

And then if you dig even deeper (and you already had to do some esoteric shit to get Missingno. and 'M'), you run into some really malicious stuff that can just straight-up destroy your save file. I know anything to do with Lovecraft or the word "eldritch" have entered meme territory a long time ago, but it definitely feels like you're peeling back some layers in the game world that you really weren't meant to be peeling back.

I would, but I ended up deleting the save file after I hatched that Venonat to do a 2nd playthrough testing an autistic teambuilding idea I had, which later became its entire ruleset that I've tweaked for the last 2 years and am currently considering throwing in the bin after legitimately playtesting it and keeping track of my progress

plus, on that save file i cheated to make my character's gender female and the Action Replay broke before I could switch it back

Not gonna lie, the idea of bad eggs fascinated me when I was a kid but for some reason really freak me out and make me especially not want to play gens 3-5 again. Too many odd glitches that can spawn them in and the replicating factor is just icing on the cake.

I'm in love with the distorted music from certain glitch encounters. I forget which one it is specifically, but there's a glitch Pokemon in Yellow I think whose cry is a slowed down distorted bike theme. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the glitch encounters where the music stops entirely are pretty spooky.

This ESPECIALLY rings true for the Charizard 'M you posted, given that it's basically the personification of the Cancel button. There's literally nothing you can do. Can't see the rest of your party, can't visit the Pokemon Center, oh, and did I mention he can turn your other Pokemon into more of himself? Scary shit.
