Anyone else find the competitive meta for BDSP surprisingly boring as hell. I thought it would be interesting with a limited dex but its just bad gen 6/7/8 meta
Only thing I was looking forward to because I'm not buying, guess I'll wait to see if Legends is good

this isnt “the meta” when you can just build your team with a few clicks. this is just a way to pass the timez in game will be very different

oh ok. in swsh can you do casual battles with 6v6? i dont like it either because the concept of a pokemon team is six pokemon but they wont let trainers battle 6v6 online. pretty lame i agree with you. im just saying it doesnt completely ruin the game for me since im a collector and min/mac autist

This shit gets brought up every time. The peak comedy gold was people who celebrated Gen 8 release because it would cut Lando which overcentralized Gen 7 but they were too retarded to realize that removing so many mons will just make the meta more stagnant and lopsided.
This 'x will be gone so meta will be good' argument gets repeated every single time by mouthbreathers whose birdbrains prevent them from remembering they already said that a bunch of times in the past and got BTFO every single time. It will continue into Gen 9 and beyond.

I can only pray you're exclusively playing doubles, because in gen 6 and 8 singles, one correct play is the first of like 8 in a row you have to make to make any permanent progress toward beating your opponent unless you're running some 80 turn balance squad. Boots are fucking gone, tangrowth is the only regenerator, you're allowed to keep ghosts and psychics in before turn 20 when you kill the pursuiter, speed tiers between 101 and 130 actually matter, life is good
