The dub stopped being good as soon as it was taken away from 4kids. People will say that it got better over time but that's nothing but a huge cope. The writing sucks, the cast sucks, everything about it sucks shit.

Dubs are bad in general, whether they're anime or not. They're all produced on tiny ass budgets that makes it impossible to hire any kind of competent staff, which not only means they'll be poorly done, but also associates working on dubs to be the kind of work only done by shitters that can't get hired to real productions that actually pay decently.
