FRLG was as much of a lazy, soulless cashgrab as BDSP is. It brought nothing new to the table and didn't fix any of the flaws of the original.

it ported the original game to a new system without missing content, added more, it didn't do anything wrong while still improving basically everything about red/blue. the only reason to play red/blue instead is nostalgia. im not sure wat flaws didnt get fixed. there was also no way to upload your pokemon from gen 1/2 so it had to be made really

But they did though. Multiple glitches were fixed and they brought it up to Gen 3's standards nicely. Only problem is that I'm so used to the physical special split that it gets little bit confusing when coming back to it. Still better than BDSP though. That shit had no reason to exist and was only shat out so faggots and trannies who kept begging for Gen 4 remakes can finally shut up, except now they'll be begging for Gen 5 remakes.
And I fear they'll be just as bad, if not worse than BDSP.

how is it a lazy remaster? it has literally everything you could ask for in a remake plus more. I think I played Pearl more than I played Blue so i'd say I have a fonder memory for Sinnoh than I do Kanto albeit Pearl wasn't my childhood. I wanted to like BDSP unlike most ppl on here and I was genuinely disappointed, I wasn't disappointed at all with FRLG

it was a faithful recreation with improved graphics that kept all of the original content and added more areas, BDSM on the other hand is a "faithful" recreation with improved graphics that added things, and got rid of others, such as the fucking GTS, you know, the biggest feature that DP introduced

Considering the biggest issue with Gen 1 was the mechanics, you're wrong. I hate IVs in general, while I find EVs and Natures to be annoying as fuck in-game, but I will take those over the absolute pile of dogshit that is Gen 1 code. Speed crits, taking a turn to wake up from sleep, 90% accurate Blizzard, and the Special stat are all complete garbage. I wish they'd kept in the original music and not made the islands, but at least they were trying to find a way to reconcile the remakes with RSE. BDSP has no such complication and its problems are more retarded for it
