I've really struggled to find a single solid team that gels for me, so many Pokemon in this game require trading to be good (cannot be bothered with that) or you can't even get them / their evo item until post-game (Rotom, Gliscor, Yanma etc).
I've been rotating through about 16 Pokemon, culling the herd as certain ones fall off in usefulness (ie. I gave up on my Kadabra when everything else started to reach their final evo stages) but I feel like the only Pokemon that's really stood out to me so far as a true bro is Rampardos, a Pokemon I've never used before but who has one-shot nearly everything he's faced despite not having any STAB moves yet.
Drapion is another Pokemon I'm warming to but I caught my Skorupi quite late (from the Underground) and only had it for a few levels so I don't feel like I really bonded with it. Something about catching super high level Pokemon that immediately evolve just rubs me the wrong way. Critting everything with Sniper-boosted hits is really cool though.
Anyway I don't have a screenshot but the Pokemon I'm rotating through now includes Infernape, Rampardos, Gyarados, Roserade, Drapion, Floatzel, Mamoswine, Staraptor, Luxray, Snorlax, Bibarel, Magneton, and Scyther.
