to be fair im pretty barely any trainers in the lost tower have ghost type pokemon, except maybe there is 1 misdreavus. trainers in that tower are there to mourn and have regular mons, like that guy with multiple bidoof, the biker with the cleffa etc.

But people who have never played the game before don't know that if you get the answer wrong you have to fight a trainer. They will 100% always just answer it correctly, they are being asked a question and that's it.

The previous gyms you just battled, Gardenia's and Wake's gym are not avoidable fights. You HAVE to battle those trainers. If you are new to the game, walk into a gym and see a sign but NO trainers you are going to have no idea that getting a question right would lock you out of content.
