>>48815904Back when Platinum/HGSS were out you could go into Target/Best Buy and Preorder the game for $1. at the time, they'd give you a figure for the preorder. With such a low cost, you were essentially buying the figure and even if you didn't pick up the game, you still got something.
Gamestop did something like that for Emerald with a tin but theirs was $5. Even then, its trivial.
Ever since then, almost every big box retailer will only give you something if you physically come and pick up the game. In the last few games, it was only with the double packs too.
Its especially weird though for BDSP that almost all of the preorder bonuses were garbage. (Target didn't get the notebooks in btw, they just gave out stickers instead. The pens look like crappy dollar store pens too)
