Genuine question, not focusing on any particular game, but can someone have a valid and formed opinion on a game if they never played it in a legitimate way? (i.e emulating and hacking)

Or if they played it in a cynical way hoping to exploit bugs and design flaws in an attempt to make it look bad?

For me I think nah if you havnt played the game as the designer intended then your opinion isn't really worth anything
