never got this argument. if the pokemon games want to be a learning experience there should be a trainer that absolutely smashes the player and spits on their team. i'm talking an unwinnable scenario here.
kids will learn much more from getting manhandled like a pissy bitch boy than drooling over themselves in endless filler fights against braindead AI bots.
there are winners and losers in life, and if your child takes an interest in Pokemon, let's be honest, it's already at a disadvantage. it's better to have their team of imaginary animals curb stomped to death and left a broken mess than experience it first hand in real life.
