It's funny to me that the E4 Gap is still there
The gap's in general are honestly some of the better part of the franchise. Leon was a big jump, and followed by when you get to the final island in Sun and Moon.

I think you are memeing but it is worth noting that a popular pokemon speedrunner Werster who has played every game hundreds of times said BDSP are definitively harder than the originals mostly due to new movesets and hold items.

He also said that exp share actually lessens the total amount of exp you get but this may just be for speedrunning strategies specifically

They revert back to being easy anyway, but we need more level jumps spread out the entire game.

>they add exp share despute them being FAITHFUL REMAKES without the option to turn it off, possibly because it helps you get closer to Cynthia's levels right at the end (which weren't changed from D/P)

But it's just one Pokemon. I mean, sure, I found Cynthia's fight very difficult but my average level was 53. If all you need to worry about is garchomp, you have a dozen different tactics you can use to prepare for it.

The game gives you so many extra tools to beat her that it's easier now than in DP. Not only do Fairy types exist now, but the underground gives you access to Mamoswine, Togekiss, Gardevoir etc.
