Yes. In case you haven't noticed, Pokemon has a behemoth of a marketing machine in the anime that has been running for more than 20 years now. Not to mention the the TCG.
Zelda and Mario have nothing like that and any sales that they have are solely based on quality, unlike Pokemon games.

It literally is. The anime was created as an ad for the games. It's supposed to be your "introduction" to the Pokemon world and make you want to buy the games so you can do what you saw in the anime.

No lol, Xenoblade 1 is a basic bitch JRPG with a shit levelling system that halts your progress more artificially than I've ever seen. Its story is a pretentious slog that loses any intrigue the moment Metal Face goes down. The characters are boring as shit as well and the final plot twist might as well have been "oh, it was just a dream". Xenoblade 1 is a joke and doesn't have the decency to treat itself as one.

This question has been answered like a hundred times. It's because Pokemon is an annual series. Make Zelda and Mario annual too and just give it 2 years before they start going to shit.
Also, GF has learned that they don't need to polish their games at all since they still sell millions of copies anyway. Why spend extra money on dev wages and production costs when it'll sell the same amount?
