PLA probably was the original concept for DP remakes but it became so different that TPC commissioned BDSP because of fan demand.

I think PLA is more faithful to DP than BDSP in that they are made with the same design philosophy of being games that attempt to re-invent the formula. I don't really care what they do though, I just want the games to last me like several years like Platinum did.
