Besides, the pokémon world isn't ours, even if it apes it. they have teleportation, instant health recovery and a whole plethora of highly advanced tech, even in in-game 1996 when Red first stepped out on his journey. So stop playing the "nooo, tech bad in ancient PokéJapan" card, it's equivalent to the real-world Meji era, but it's not the Meji era and there's a whole lot of shit that happens innately in that world that doesn't in ours and didn't happen in the conquest of Ezochi.
