I feel like they're planning to release a Platinum remake as well soon enough. Just think about it, they have nothing to lose: they know DP were shit, they heavily insisted in BDSP being "faithful" remakes made as cheaply as possible without featuring even Plat's graphical improvements, they have the entire game's engine working decently enough (all they need to do is iron out the issues and bugs people found so far), and they're guaranteed to make all the money in the world seeing how much BDSP are selling. All the signs are there.
