Haha thanks! So if I buy Brilliant Diamond, I can't get Pokemon exclusive to Shining Pearl, right? I mean, I'm just not sure, being mentally handicapped and all, so I thought I'd come shit up a cesspit even worse by coming to this site that I never use and asking. Pokemon sure is a difficult series to understand! Also, what is a secret base?

Yeah. And if you got Shining Pearl you wouldn't be able to get the exclusives from Brilliant Diamond. This encourages players to trade with each other to get these.

You fucking retard. Just beat the Elite 4 once and the ones "locked" to the other version during your playthrough start showing up. They wouldn't make you buy the same game twice and then require Home transfers between the two; Home is just for storage and region transferring. Why do you think the Galactic commanders have the version exclusive skunk and cat? You're supposed to go catch the things you didn't have access to previously.
