I genuinely wonder how the gen 5 remakes will look like, how can they step even lower this
Maybe they'll hire pajeets like Rockstar did and just badly upscale the original and sell it for $60

Because it's actually chibi. What they did on BDSP is bizarre. Its meant to be a translation of the sprite work but they even changed the spritework wallpapers in BDSP to be much chunkier too

I'm guessing they will do a "oras" syle remake (remaking it with the artstyle of gen 10), I doubt they will pull a bdsp again considering how much it backfired.

The models just feel "wrong", the fully modeled arms for example go in contrast with how simplified the anatomy is and just look plain creepy

Link's Awakening has smooth and glossy lighting on the models and every object casts strong shadows, which sells the diorama look. They look like toys in a sharply lit set.

BDSP didn't have any specific look in mind and uses very soft lighting, so it looks bland and muddy.
