>>48860575I agree. Would rather keep her in galar longer than transfer to that game. At least Camp offers some fun moments.
>>48860643I honestly really miss the mini games in the older titles.
I'd have liked it if Camp have retained the petting feature from past renditions of Amie since they snuck in unique animations to give each of the Pokemon more personality/depth (Honedge's preferred spot switching once you befriend it, Pikachu being ticklish, the player's hand getting hurt if they tried to pet/play with certain pokemon like Slugma or Ferrothorn, Shedinja being almost completely non-responsive, and Deoxys shifting to attack form if you irritate it are some examples).
Given that a lot of the Gen 8 Pokemon have animations that are unused or are rare to see (plus the way they hold out a "hand" to eat despite nothing being there) I think they might've originally been planning to do this before the decision was made to cut it.
Going off of that plus following patterns it's likely that Hatterene would've preferred the brim/cone of the hat and gotten angry if you tried to touch her actual body. She has two angry animations (one is a grumpy "hmph" and the other has her rear back and pull up the claw), so I think the former would be for normal instances of displeasure while the latter would be if you tried to lay a hand on her true form. Her happy animation melts my heart though, and I'm glad they kept it in the game. She's just so endearing.
I'd have loved to do the yarn ball bounce game with her though but alas.
