It's my favorite gen, and emerald was one of the peaks of pokemon. Biggest downside is the absolute flood of shitmons with cool designs like Claydol and Mawile.

The worst part about Gen 3 is being between 2 and 4. It's a great Gen, but 2 and 4 were just slightly better.

Emerald is really good, the only downside is they replaced Steven with Wallace.

Well alright, to go into some unwarranted detail
>Hoenn
>comfy tropical region with good routes
>despite shitty encounter table I really like the water routes

>Regi puzzle was mysterious as fuck since consumer internet was still in its early stages
>excellent protagonist designs

I just love it so much bros. 2000s oceancore shit is the best.

Simple yet satisfying.

I don't like ORAS for a myriad of reasons I feel are valid, but due to some recent remake controversy it doesn't seem as bad by comparison
