This is different from just happening to like a shitmon; there are thousands of people who like shitmons and even have them as favorite Pokemon. However those people like shitmons due to things like design, concept or even just reminding them good memories, the fact that they are shit in battle isn't the reason why those people like them. If anything a pokemon being a shitmon is 90% of a reason why it gets hated.
There is literally nothing gained from having a Pokemon be a shitmon.
