Nintendo's the problem because they've become complacent and rely on Pokemon's annual nature to give them an easy fiscal year so shareholders don't nag them for not churning out massive release after massive release like all the others.
GameFreak's the problem because they're too stubborn and old-fashioned to expand and get experience, never mind the deadlines they're putting up with (whether self-imposed or from Pokemon's other components is yet to be truly known).
TPC's the problem because they're focused exclusively on maximizing profits for as little effort as possible in every facet of the franchise, and despite almost completely severing ties from GameFreak's games, they're ultimately still reliant on them to shit out new creatures to market and sell toys of.
The consumer's the problem because they have zero fucking standards and are still obsessed with a franchise for children, desperate to chase the Magic Charizard High they experienced when they first played Pokemon as a kid themselves.
