>>48881345Yeah, but all regions have early route regional bird (Pidgey, Hoothoot, Taillow, Starly, Pidove, Fletchling, Pikipek, Rookidee), regional rodent (Rattata, Sentret, Zigzagoon, Bidoof, Patrat, Bunnelby, Yungoos, Skwovet), most have a regional bug, etc. so while early route mons in every region tend to be copies of Kanto Pokemon, Gen 5 goes above and beyond by including Pokemon that only exist to fill a niche filled by Kanto Pokemon. To me it was obvious at the time that Klingklang was meant to be nothing more than a Magneton/Magnezone ripoff, for example.
