But, what I'm saying is that it would be silly for such a game to have hundreds and hundreds, let alone the full amount, of pokemon in it. It would be unrealistic. PLA is "trying" to have some semblance of realism with pokemon in an environment, having ~1000, or even ~500 would be unrealistic. Not only are there not that many different animals in your nearest national park, but trying to have reasonable interactions among them all would be impossible unless it's identical for all of them. I much rather have 100 pokemon, each with extremely unique ways in which I learn about, track, find, and catch them instead of 493 pokemon where 95% of them involve the same "stalking" mechanic and catch method and just appear magically in front of me.
