>>48886384Nintendo aren't releasing a new system this year and Game Freak take two years after the launch of a new system to migrate to it (as they're more valuable driving sales of the older model and letting Nintendo's own IP's drive the new system sales). The earliest a new system will come is '23, which means it'll be '25 when Game Freak take a new Gen to the system and seeing as how they launched DLC (and the rehash) before the remake, the last few times they ran remakes and rehashes in the same Gen, that leaves it 2027 at the earliest before a Gen V remake comes around. I'm expecting it to be a lot later, however. maybe by BW's 20th anniversary or just before it, depending how Game Freak play that era of the future.
