I just beat Fire Red, I know I've got two legendary's I wasn't going to use Articuno or Moltres. but Dragonair was barley level 40 and I didnt feel like grinding him up to the high 40s low 50s. I had an empty slot from a fucking arcanine which kept getting oneshot by even grass mons so I just dropped him off at the pc.
I was severely under leveled as well my lowest after tagging in artiucno before the elite 4 was like 43 and highest 52. Thankfully these games are pretty easy so I blitzed through the elite 4 and champion in under 10 minutes with just revives and full restores.
Its annoying because my original team was going to have alot more Soul but even though I battled every fucking trainer I saw my starter was only level 48. I guess it proved more of a challenge.
I also heavily abused the Speed up option in VBA so this whole thing took like like 4-6 hours IRL over a couple days while the In game was like 55 hours. I've played through Kanto so many fucking times I just wanted to end it.
I was going to count the end of the Run as beating Mewtwo after finding out I need to do a bunch of side quests and fill up the dex I called it quits after beating blue.
Not a bad game but far from perfect.
Next is Emerald which I'll start tommrow and hopefully not have to speed up as much so I can enjoy the game.
