Would you be fine with Gen 9 coming next year if it only means Gen 10 will have 4 years of development before coming out for the 30th anniversary?

I'm expecting that, not that it's going to get 4 years straight devtime. Most programing work will still take place in two years, but they'll hopefully take 18 months of intensive concept work before moving to coding the whoile thing together.

4 years between gen 9 and 10 sounds pretty reasonable now, if gen 9 comes out next holiday season than that's 3 years passed. However if they fill the 4 year gap with something like another Legends game and DLC, then technically a lot of dev time still isnt going to gen 10 in that 4 year gap.
