The first gym leaders in BW use only 2 pokemon while the first gym leader in Sinnoh uses 3. The problem is when the 8th gym leader of your game still has only 3 fucking pokemon. And not to mention E4 members having only 4 pokemon. It is a completely arbitrary change that only makes the already easy games much easier
