I was competitive back in Pt, I still remember building a Ghost type meta team because I wanted to act like a ghost gym leader of sorts. I was heavily into it until I just burnt out over the numbers. It sucked all my love of the game out because it just turned into statistics and what was superior rather than what Pokemon you liked most. I stopped involving myself with the metagame. So I fortunately never ran into Lando, but... I'll never go back to being a competitive man.
