You're right, but that's not the point. The point is, from Gen 5 onwards, we have been allowed to surpass the 999,999 money limit and have 1+ million Pokedollars.

So what I would like to know is, did they revert back to the 999,999 money limit because that's how it was in Gen 4, or did ILCA just forget to update the money limit and bring it up to modern standards?

I guess having more limited money CAN add some more challenge to the game, and maybe that's what they were going for? I just hope it wasn't an oversight.

At this point, seeing how they reverted TMs back to being single use again, I think the most likely reason for the Max Money limit being reduced to 999,999 again, was probably to keep it faithful to the originals.

Afaik, from Gen 5 onwards, the cap was 9,999,999. And Gen 4 and we earlier was 999,999.

So yes it's a big difference. The question is whether ILCA returned to the Gen 4 Money Limit on purpose. It could just be faithfulness idk.

The problem is when you reach 999,999 you stop earning money in Battles etc, as you cannot hold any more of it.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that. Buying Vitamins is very costly, so I think they just wanted to make money more hard to earn (like TMs becoming one time use again).

I personally still think it's an oversight, but if it's not, it's because of the whole "faithful remake" shtick and not a difficulty tweak. I don't think one use tms are for difficulty either or else you wouldn't get extras.
