It's bland, but it's not bad enough to complain about.
Nostalgia is part of it, but the Funko Pop vibe seems to really have gone over well with most normalfags, too.
Shit/Shitty was loaded to the brim with every issue possible, ranging from cutting too many Pokemon, to locking a bunch behind paywalls, to the shit online modes, the raid dungeons, the Wild Area, the shit Pokemon designs, the garbage battle animations, the garbage scene animations, the tree, the gutted Refresh, the half-assed cooking minigame, the locked EXP Share, the earbuds. Literally the only good parts of the game are that there's two or three locations in the game that look good, and maybe 10 Pokemon out of the dex are pretty nice to look at.
Hell, even the normalfags just shat out some generic praises and moved on, despite buying fuckloads of copies of the games and having a fully legit online mode to keep them busy.
