To be honest, my problem that I started playing SMT V a week before BDSP launch. And I'm sorry, but clearing every aspect of the game with a single supper effective pokemon, while being overleveled 10 level over every single trainer, but gym leader is not an adventure. I'm literary trying to avoid every single fight just because I'm so sick of killing 5 level 20 bidoofs in a row while my lowest level pokemon is level 30. It's linear, it's stupidly easy, it's so freaking repetitive with the same pokemon on almost every route.
I've never played SMT games before (apart from persona) and I fucking love the thrill of being raped by a random encounter if I'm not carefull enough even on normal difficulty. I switch my team every boss fight, just because I need some strategy. In BDSP I can clear every gym with a single pokemon. I had the same feelings towards SWSH, but at least i had a roster of pokemon to choose from. BDSP is boring
