When did you realize Hoenn was the best region?

>most diverse environments of any region in the franchise
>most fun cities (pacifidlog, sootopolis, fortree, lavaridge, dewford)
>best set of starters they ever did after gen 1
>best legendary trio they ever did
>fun, simple apocalyptic plot line before they became absolutely retarded starting with gen 4
>whole laundry list of iconic mons where other gens past gen 3 usually only introduced one or two new iconic mons
>diving was fun
>overall cool and mysterious tone to everything from the regis to metagross to the latis to deoxsys/jirachi and the spaceship to sky pillar and rayquaza to the ship wreck.
