if pokemon and humans were the same according to Gen4 books, does that mean humans evolved from pokemon or pokemon evolved from humans?

Humans evolved from Pokémon since they have a shared ancestor of Mew and creator deity of Arceus. Humans stopped interacting with other species for some time so they became their own egg group with live births. With enough effort, a human female could have their egg-laying capability restored.

idk, i rather think that humans came from another universe or dimension and they settled in the pokemon world
or that pokemon (legendaries included) came from the collective imaginary

Pokemon were fully sapient and had personhood, then somehow devolved into wild animals. The myths don’t suggest that humans used to be wild like Pokemon, they suggest that Pokemon used to be civilized like humans.

Humans canonically all have psychic potential, but most don't train it. Humans may have evolved out of being Pokemon previously and became something else. It's also hypothetically true that Poke Ball technology, which can store both living (Pokemon) and non-living (items) things inside of them could be reworked to affect humans as well, but that doing so would come with horrific societal implications.

He just said that humans aren’t the same as Pokemon because they can’t learn moves or evolve. He didn’t say that there’s zero connection at all between humans and Pokemon. He also said that a long time ago, things can be retconned.
